Fynbossie was started in 2018 by Bianca and Mariska who both have very different qualities and backgrounds but together it works perfectly! Challenges show up on our doorstep daily, but we always give our best as we want each and everyone to have a piece of Fynbossie – truly bespoke furniture made especially just for you!

We specialise in hand-crafting furniture, from any type of wood. All our furniture is manufactured locally, at our workshop in Kuils River, Cape Town. All our items are made from solid materials and manufactured by carpenters (not robots or machines).

Although we advertise a product in pine (for example), we can make it in any other wood (except sleeper wood). Different woods we offer can be viewed here. Should there be a wood type you favour, which we don’t list on our website, please email us with your request and we’ll let you know if we can assist.

For any spray work, we prefer to work with a good type of MDF wood called supawood. This allows smoothness and clean lines with no paint marks or bristles stuck in the paint (which can be a nuisance to remove).

Good craftsmanship takes time so our lead time vary depending on demand. Custom orders may have longer lead times.
