A Little Bit About Us
Fynbossie was started in 2018 by Bianca and Mariska who both have very different qualities and backgrounds but together it works perfectly! Challenges show up on our doorstep daily, but we always give our best as we want each and everyone to have a piece of Fynbossie – truly bespoke furniture made especially just for you!
We specialise in hand crafting furniture, from any type of wood. All our furniture is manufactured locally, at our workshop in Kuils River, Cape Town. All our items are made from solid materials and manufactured by carpenters (not robots or machines).
Although we advertise a product in pine (for example), we can make it in any other wood (except sleeper wood). Different woods we offer can be viewed here. Should there be a wood type you favour, which we don’t list on our website, please email us with your request and we’ll let you know if we can assist.
For any spray work, we prefer to work with a good type of MDF wood called supawood. This allows smoothness and clean lines with no paint marks or bristles stuck in the paint (which can be a nuisance to remove).
Good craftmanship takes time so our lead time vary depending on demand. Custom orders may have longer lead times.
Delivery
Yes! We deliver nationwide.
Since we are based in the Mother City, delivery in Cape Town and surrounds is handled by ourselves.
For all other areas in South Africa, we also arrange delivery for you and this will be with a third party courier company, thus the courier charge is higher than normal delivery in Cape Town areas. The rates quoted on the checkout page can change depending on the courier quote but this happens rarely.
Our products do not come in flat packed boxes and require little to no assembly at all. None of our products can be taken apart once built by our skilled team as this is one of our key ingredients to giving you solid furniture that will last a very long time.
